
Welcome! I am available for teaching all types of lessons, workshops, sectionals, preparation for auditions and ensembles.
I have over 30 years of teaching private, and group, Woodwind Lessons for Saxophone, Clarinet & Flute.
And I have over 15 years of teaching classroom music with 8+ years of teaching secondary instruments including: Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Drums, Violin, Harmonica and Recorder.
My classroom teaching experience includes: Theory, Fundamentals, Improvisation, Harmony and Composition.
My ensemble teaching experience includes: Big Band, Jazz Combo, Saxophone Quartet, Bell Choir, Rock Band, Guitar, Ukulele & Recorder group lessons.
Philosophy: I use a mixture of practical skill development meets historically informed studies process. Many methods are used to reach the individual student’s goals and interests. Practice is the tool for study and a personal commitment to learning, practice & performance is the path each student explores. With guidance these tools can be refined to find success in whatever direction resonates with the individual.
Rates:
Woodwind Lessons: $35 per half hour, $60 per full hour – Remote or in person
- Commute to your home for lessons (starts @ +$10, negotiable based on distance)
Secondary Instruments/Beginning, or Basic, level instruction: $25 per half hour, $50 per full hour – Remote or in person
- Commute to your home for lessons (starts @ +$10, negotiable based on distance)
Group, or Ensemble, Lessons (3 or more students): $25 each, per hour
- Commute to your home for lessons (starts @ +$10, negotiable based on distance)
Tutoring (Fundamentals, Theory, Improvisation etc.): $50 per hour
Workshops: $200 for 2 hour Workshop (Hours can be divided and schedules designed as needed) please inquire for individual needs regarding workshops.
